El Paso GN Z-11

In 2020 we converted an old farm building into a dance studio and residential apartment, called El Paso GNZ-11. When not in use by United Fall we offer the studio and accommodation to artists working in dance, theatre, music and film.

Our space is a modest 5 x 11m, with Marley flooring, sound system, and is accessed via stairs.

The accommodation consists of 1 bedroom, 1 bathroom, kitchenette/ living space, which can be cordoned off as a second sleeping space.

RESIDENCIES

SAMHAIN RESIDENCY: NOVEMBER/ DECEMBER 2026

United Fall in partnership with VISUAL and Carlow Arts Office is offering  2 x 1 week funded residencies at United Fall’s residential studio space, El Paso GN Z-11 in County Carlow

Aimed towards dance artists or theatre makers working with movement, the residencies are suitable for 1, max.2 professional artists/ collaborators, working on the early stages of a project or developing a new idea.

What's included:

24 Hours exclusive access to El Paso Studio over the course of the residency (Monday-Saturday)

€900 Stipend

6 nights self-catered accommodation (Sunday- Saturday)

Things to know:

Transport: The studio and accommodation is rural, located at United Fall’s company base, next to a family home and on a working farm. We are 30mins drive from Carlow town and 10 mins drive / 30 mins walk to the nearest shop. Ideally artists will take care of their own transport, or else in certain cases arrangements can be discussed around transfer to and from public transport, though cannot be guaranteed.

Accessibility: The studio is accessible by a flight of steps, and the accommodation also has a step.
